Infected clothes not to be sent to laundry

Statutory text
No person shall—
- (1) send to take to any laundry or public wash-house or any public water-course, tank, well, public water-stand or other place for the purpose of being washed, or cleaned, any clothing, bedding or other article which he knows to have been exposed to infection from any infectious disease unless such article has been disinfected by, or to the satisfaction of, the Health Officer, or a registered medical practitioner, or unless under instructions from such a person, it is sent with proper precautions to a laundry for the purpose of disinfection with notice that it has been exposed to infection; or
- (2) place or cause or permit to be placed in any dust-bin or other receptacle for the deposit of refuse any matter which he knows to have been exposed to infection from an infectious disease and which has not been disinfected; or
- (3) deposit or cause or permit to be deposited, any excreta dejecta or any substance voided by a case of an infectious disease into any drain, sewer or receptacle intended for the purpose unless it has previously disinfected in the manner directed by the Health Authority.
