Back-to-back house not to be erected without Permission
The Madhya Pradesh Public Health Act, 1949Notwithstanding anything contained in any other law or provision having the force of law for the time being in force, no person shall, without the previous permission of the Health Officer, erect any back to back house intened to be used as dwelling houses, and such house the erection of which is begun after the commencement of this Act without such permission shall be deemed to be unfit for human habitation within the meaning of section 102:
Provided that nothing shall prevent the erection or use of a house containing back-to-back tenements, if the Health Officer certifies that the tenements are so arranged as to secure adequate ventilation and lighting of all the habitable rooms.
