Statutory text

(1) The Board shall advise the Government on such matters as the Government may from time to time refer to it. It shall formulate the health policy for the [State] as a whole and make recommendations in respect of grants to be sanctioned by the Government for health schemes in local areas. It shall advise Government on all matters connected with public health including town improvement schemes, water supply and drainage schemes, municipal and village sanitation measures against epidemics and vital statistics.
(2) The meetings of the Board and the mode of transaction of business at such meetings shall be governed by such regulations as may be framed by it.
(3) The proceedings of the Board shall not be invalidated by reason of any vacancy in the office of the President, the Secretary or a member.
