Statutory text

(1) Any person who does any of the acts mentioned in subsection (1) of section 118 or sells or offers or manufactures or stores for sale, any article of food which is not of the nature, substance or quality demanded by the purchaser or specified by a notification by the Government through others employed by him, whether the latter be adults or children shall be liable to punishment for such act as if he had himself done the same.
(2) If a child under twelve years of age does any of the acts aforesaid, the employer of the child, or the parent or other person having the care and custody of the child, as the case may be, shall be liable to punishment for such act as if he had himself done the same.
