Concurrent jurisdiction
The Delhi Panchayat Raj Act, 1954Where a suit, criminal case or proceeding is maintainable in more than one Circle Panchayat, the plaintiff or the complainant or the applicant, as the case may be, may bring the suit, criminal case or proceeding in one of such Circle Panchayats. Any dispute regarding jurisdiction shall be decided by the Senior Sub-Judge, Additional District Magistrate or the Revenue Assistant, having jurisdiction as the case may be. Notwithstanding anything contained in these rules, the Deputy Commissioner may of his own motion direct an enquiry to be held into the conduct of any election if there is reason to suspect that corrupt practice of bribery or undue influence or material irregularity has been committed and the case shall, be dealt with so far as may be in the manner prescribed in these rules.
