Appointment, leave and dismissal etc., of Secretary

(1) Subject to such directions including directions regarding payment from the Gaon Sabha Area Fund, of his salary, allowances and other dues as the Chief Commissioner may give, there shall be appointed by the Deputy Commissioner, a Secretary for every Gaon Panchayat or group or Gaon Panchayats. The Secretary so appointed shall also be ex-officio Secretary of Gaon Sabha concerned. (2) The Secretary shall in the matter of leave, promotion, transfer dismissal, removal and other disciplinary action be under the administrative control of the Deputy Commissioner: Provided that an order of the Deputy Commissioner removing or dismissing a Secretary shall be appealable within a period of sixty days to the Chief Commissioner, whose decision shall be final.
