Term of Panches of a Circle Panchayat
The Delhi Panchayat Raj Act, 1954The term of office of every Panch shall be such as may be prescribed. (1) At the close of poll in the presence of such candidate or one of their agents, if any, as may be in attendance, the Presiding Officer shall, (a) Open the ballot box or boxes (if more than one has been used at the Polling Station) and sort out the ballot papers according to their different colours so that all ballot papers relating to the election of each office are separately dealt with; (b) Separate the ballot papers which are admitted as valid from those which are declared invalid, endorsing on the latter the word "REJECTED" and the ground of rejection, and prepare an account of ballot papers in Form 14.
