Method of service outside jurisdiction
The Delhi Panchayat Raj Act, 1954If the person to be summoned by an Adalat in a suit, criminal case or a proceeding resides outside the jurisdiction of the Panchayati Adalat, the Adalat shall send the summons by post or otherwise to the Circle Panchayat or the Circle Court within whose jurisdiction the person on whom it is to be served resides and such Adalat shall cause it to be served as if it were summons issued by it and shall return the duplicate to the Adalat concerned. If the person summoned in a witness the Adalat shall require the person at whose instance the summons is to be issued to deposit diet money payable to the witness under these rules before the summons is issued. The amount of the diet money shall be noted on summons and shall be paid to the witness on his appearance.
