Repeal and savings

(1) The Chhattisgarh Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1960 (No. 19 of 1960), the Chhattisgarh Agricultural Produce Markets (Validation) Act, 1962 (No, 12 of 1962), the Chhattisgarh Krishi Upaj Mandi Samiti (Nirvachan Sthagan) Nirasan Adhiniyam, 1967 (No. 24 of 1967), the ChhattisgarhAgricultural Produce Markets (Amendment) Act, 1968 (No. 17 of 1968), the Chhattisgarh Agricultural Produce Markets (Amendment and Valida- tion) Act, 1970 (No. 2 of 1970), the Chhattisgarh Agricultural Produce Markets (Amendment and Validation)Act, 1970 (No. 23 of 1970), the Chhattisgarh Agricultural Produce Markets (Amendment and Valida- tion) Act, 1971 (No. 22 of 1971). and the Chhattisgarh Agricultural Produce Markets (Amendment)Act 1972 (No. 30 of 1972) are hereby repealed. (ii) unless the State Government otherwise directs, the market committees referred to in clause (i) and the Chairman,Vice- Chairman and members thereof shall continue until the expiry of their term under the repealedAct or till a market committee is constituted in accordance with the provisions of thisAct, whichever is earlier. (3) On issue of a direction under clause (ii) of sub-section (2), the provisions of section 57 shall apply as from the date specified in the direction as if the market committee stood dissolved on that date.
