Provided that if in any case the amount is in excess of 4[five thousand] rupees such order shall not take effect without the prior approval of the Managing Director.

Chairman, Vice-Chairman, members, officers and servants of market committee or President, Vice-President etc. of Board to be public servants.- The Chairman, the Vice-Chairman, Members, Secretary, other officers and servants of a market committee and the President, Vice-president, the members, the officers and other servants of the Board shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (No. 45 of 1860).
