Tenure of Village/Town Defence Parties

Statutory text
A Village/Town Defence Party shall be organized for a period not exceeding 30 days. Provided that the period may be extended for a further period of 30 days by the Superintendent of Police in consultation with the District Magistrate, for reasons to be recorded in writing.
