Statutory text

(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, if it appears to the State Government that any institution is not functioning in accordance with the provisions of this Act or the Statutes, Ordinances or Regulations or in accordance with the guidelines of the All India Council for Technical Education, or any other professional body, the State Government may, by an order, take over the management of such institution or, if it thinks fit, may close the institution or stop the grant-in-aid of the institution.
(2) In case the State Government takes over the management of any institution under sub-section (1), the institution shall be governed in accordance with such regulations as the State Government may prescribe in this behalf.
