Statutory text

(1) The Kuladhipati and the first Kulpati of the University and the first members of the Executive Council and of the Academic council thereof shall constitute the University and the University so constituted shall be a body corporate by the name of the "Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University". (2) The University shall have perpetual successio arid a common seal and shall sue and be sued by the said nqme. (3) Subject to the provisions of this Act, the University shall be competent to acquire and hold property, both, movable and immovable, to lease, sell or otherwise transfer any movable or immovable property, which may have become vested in, or may have been acquired by it for the purposes of the University and to contract and do all other things necessary for the purpose of this Act. (4) The headquarters of the University shall be at Bhilai.
