Collection of circumstances and property tax through Gram Panchayats A Zila Panchayat may recover circumstances tax or other taxes, if any, fee etc. through the Gram Panchayat. In such case, the appropriate percentage of the recovered amount of tax etc. as per the decision of Zila Panchayat, which may be fixed by the rules shall be payable to Gram Panchayat. It shall be the duty of the Gram Panchayat to remit the realizations to the Zila Nidhi within one week of such collection.
