The Commissioner may attach brackets for lamps to the outside of any building but in such manner as not to occasion any injury to the building or inconvenience to persons using it or passing by it.

1. (1) Whoever, without being authorized by the Commissioner defaces or disturbs or causes damage to any municipal direction-posts, lamp or any property of the Corporation or extinguishes any municipal light in any public place, shall be punishable with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees.
