Jurisdiction of the University.—

1. (1) The jurisdiction of the University shall extend to the areas comprised within the limits of the Revenue Districts specified in Part-I (Revised) and Part-II (Revised) of the Second Schedule: Provided that the State Government may, by notification, include any other area within the jurisdiction of the University or exclude any area from it: Provided further that the jurisdiction of the University shall not extend to the areas of any other University established under any other enactment for the time being in force except the University specified in the Second Schedule. (1-a) The territorial jurisdiction of the University established under Part-I (Revised) and Part-II (Revised) of the Second Schedule shall be as specified in the corresponding entry in column
2. (4) of the said Schedule: Provided that the State Government may, by notification, include or exclude any area from the jurisdiction of such University.
3. (2) No college or institution situated within the local limits of the jurisdiction of the University shall, save with the consent of the University and the sanction of the State Government, be associated with or admitted to the privileges of any other University.
4. (3) Any college or institution situated outside the local limits of the jurisdiction of the University may, with the consent of the University and the sanction of the State Government, be associated with or admitted to the privileges of the University.
