The Academic Council

The Academic Council.—(1) The Academic Council shall consist of the following members, namely:—

1. (i) The Kulapati;
2. (ii) The Rector;
3. (iii) The Deans of Faculties;
4. (iv) The Heads of the University Teaching Departments;
5. (v) The Principals of autonomous colleges not exceeding five to be nominated by the Kulapati;
6. (vi) The Principals of constituent colleges;
7. (vii) The Principals of affiliated colleges not exceeding ten to be nominated by the Kulapati;
8. (viii) The Librarian of the University;
9. (ix) Three persons, one each from the field of Agriculture, Industry or Commerce, Education Area and Social Work shall be nominated by the Kuladhipati on the recommendation of the State Government;
10. (x) One Professor from each University Teaching Department to be nominated by the Kulapati by rotation according to seniority;
11. (xi) Three eminent educationists to be nominated by the Kuladhipati;
12. (xii) The Director of Collegiate Education (ex-officio).

1. (2) All nominated members shall hold office for a period of three years.
2. (3) The Kulapati shall be the Chairman and the Registrar shall be the Secretary of the Academic Council.
