The Executive Council

("The Executive Council")

1. (1) The Executive Council shall be the chief executive body of the University.
2. (2) The Executive Council shall consist of the following members, namely :
   • (i) The Kul-Guru (Vice-Chancellor);
   • (ii) The Rector;
   • (iii) One nominee of the Kuladhipati;
   • (iv) Two University Professors of the University teaching departments, nominated by the Kuladhipati by rotation in the prescribed manner;
   • (v) Four Principals of affiliated colleges, nominated by the Kuladhipati by rotation in the prescribed manner;
   • (vi) Two members, who are not teachers of the University or of any college, nominated by the Kuladhipati;
   • (vii) One member of the State Legislative Assembly, nominated by the State Government.
3. (3) The Kul-Guru shall be the Chairman of the Executive Council and the Registrar shall be the Secretary.
4. (4) The term of the members of the Executive Council, other than the ex-officio members, shall be three years.
5. (5) One-third of the members of the Executive Council shall form a quorum for a meeting of the Executive Council.
