Constitution of Special Areas

(1) If the State Government is satisfied that any area, town or city has been designated as a Special Area in a regional plan, or if the State Government is satisfied in any other manner that it is expedient in the public interest that any area, town or city should be developed as a Special Area, it may, by notification, designate such area as a Special Area by such name as may be specified in the notification. (2) In such notification, the boundaries of the Special Area shall be defined. (3) The State Government may, by notification: (a) alter the boundaries of the Special Area so as to include in or exclude from it such area as may be specified in the notification; (b) declare that the Special Area shall cease to be as such.
