When notice, bill, summons or other document is required to be served
The Gangtok Municipal Corporation Act, 1975When any notice, bill, summons or other document is required by this Act or by any rule or by-law made thereunder to be served upon or issued to any person, such service or issue shall be effected— (a) by giving or tendering such document to such persons; or (b) if such person is not found, by leaving such document at his last known place of abode or business within the Corporation or by giving or tendering the same or by sending it by post to any adult male member of his family or adult male servant in his employment; or (c) if such person does not reside within the Corporation and his address elsewhere is known to the Corporation, by forwarding such document to him by post in a cover bearing the said address; or (d) if none of the means referred to in clause (a), (b) or (c) be available, by affixing such notice, bill, summons or other document on some conspicuous part of the land or building (if any) or other thing to which the document relates.
