Appointment of Officers and Staffs of the Board

(1) The Board shall exercise superintendence and control over the market committees and may call for any information or returns relating to notified agricultural produce from any market committee and shall have the power to inspect the records of any market committee or such functionaries under or in relation to such market committees, as the case may be. (2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-sections (1) and (2), the State Government shall also have powers of superintendence and control over the market committees or other functionaries under or in relation to such market committee. Subject to the provisions of this Act and the rules and bye-laws made thereunder, the Board may have its own officers and staff to carry out its functions, and their service conditions shall be such as the State Government may, from time to time, specify.
