Members of the market committee

The State Government may, on the recommendation of the market committee supported by at least two-third of the total members or on the recommendation of the Board, remove any member of the market committee, if such member has been guilty of mis- [mis-conduct]. Provided that no order for removal of any member shall be passed by the State Government unless the member has been given a reasonable opportunity of showing cause why such order should not be passed: Provided further that no recommendation shall be made by the market committee or the Board unless the member has been given a reasonable opportunity of showing cause why such recommendation should not be made. The decision of the State Government under sub-section (1) shall be final.
