Power to frame bye-laws
The Odisha Port Trust Act, 1962The Board may from time to time make bye- laws not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act or of the Indian Ports Act, 1908 in respect of all or any of the following matters, namely:- (1) the guidance of persons employed by the Board under this Act ; (2) the safe and convenient use of the docks, wharves, quays, jetties, sheds, warehouses, railways, tramways and other works constructed or' maintained by or vested in the Board under this Act ; (3) the use of the public landing places constructed by or vested ill the Board ; (4) the reception, porterage, storage and removal of goods brought within the premises of the Board and for the exclusive conduct of these operatio~ls by the Board or persons employed by thz Board ; (5) keeping clean the harbour and basins and the works of the Board and for preventing filth or rubbish being thrown therein or thereon ; (6) regulating, declaring and defining the docks wharves, quays, jetties, stages and piers, vested in the Board on which goods shall be landed from vessels and shipped on b a r d vessels ; (7) regdating the Ii&terage of cargo between ships or between ships and shore or between shore and ships:
