Meetings of the Board
The Odisha Port Trust Act, 1962(1) The Board, subject to the other provisions of this Act shall meet at such intervals and at such places and observe such rules of procedure in regard to the transaction of business at its meetings as may be provided by regulations made in that behalf. (2) The Chairman or in his absence the Vice-Chairman or, in the absence of both, any Trustee chosen by the Trustees present from amongst themselves, shall preside at a meeting of the Board. (3) All questions at a meeting of the Board shall be decided by a majority of the votes of the Trustees present and voting and in case of an equality of votes, the Chairman, or other Trustee presiding shall have a second or casting vote. (4) No business shall be transacted at a meeting unless, at least five Trustees are present throughout such meeting. (5) The Chairman may, whenever he thinks fit, and shall upon the written request of not less than three Trustees, call a special meeting.
