Appeal against order of punishment :— (1) An appeal against any order

passed under Section 76 shall lie, if such order was passed by—

1. (a) the Executive Officer, Engineer or Health Officer, to the Municipality; and I. Substituted by the Orissa Act 16 of 1968, w.e.f. 01.08.1968 (@ THE ORISSA MUNICIPAL MANUAL
2. (b) the Chairperson to the State Government.

1. (2) An appeal under this section shall be preferred and disposed of in such manner as may be prescribed.] ![77-A. Procedure relating to disciplinary action :— The Procedure laid down in the Orissa Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal ) Rules, 1962, in so far as they are not inconsistent with this Act, shall mutatis mutandis apply to the officers and servants of every Municipality on whom the Chairperson of the Municipality is empowered under Section 76 to impose punishments.
