Offences by Polling Officer :— Every Polling Officer, who permits a person

{0 vote, knowing that such person is not entitled to vote, or who prevents a person from voting, knowing that such person is entitled to vote, shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to six months or with fine or with both.
