Vacation of office by Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson :— The

Chairperson or the Vice-Chairperson of a Municipality shall be deemed to have vacated his office—

1. (a) on the expiry of his term of office as, or on his otherwise ceasing to be a Councillor of that Municipality; or
2. (b) on his election or nomination as a Councillor of any other Municipality.] (49.
