Offences to be tried summarily.-Nonetheless notwithstanding anything contained in this Act or in the Criminal Procedure Code, all offences under this Act may be tried summarily; and a Magistrate (not belo~i the rank of Magistrate 1st Class) trying an offence under this Act may irnposea sentellce of fine exceeding Rs. 1,000 but not exceeding the fine as provided under this Act for such offence.
