Short title, extent and commencement.-

1. (1) This Act may be called the Himachal Pradesh Registration of Hotels and Travel Agents Act, 1969.
2. (2) It shall extend to the whole of Himachal Pradesh.
3. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
4. (4) This Act supersedes any other previous legislation, rules or bye-laws in this behalf made by Government or by a local authority.
5. (5) The State Government may by notification exempt any tenancy or class of tenancy from the operation of all or any of the provisions of this Act.
