Appeals regarding punishment

6) The decision of the Appointing Authority regarding awarded punishment shall be final, subject to the right to appeal by the aggrieved. (a) An aggrieved officer, academic staff, administrative staff or employee shall have the right to appeal against the punitive order to the Appellate Authority defined below; (i) In case of the punitive order being passed by the Chancellor, the Appellate Authority shall be the Board of Governors. (ii) In case of the punitive order being passed by the Board of Management, the Appellate Authority shall be the Chancellor. (b) The decision of the Appellate Authority regarding punitive action shall be final binding.
