Pro Chancellor

(1) At the request of the Chancellor, a Pro Chancellor shall be appointed by the Chancellor for a period of three years and upon expiry of his term, shall be eligible for re-appointment. (2) Pro Chancellor of the University shall assist the Chancellor in discharging his duties and he shall exercise such powers as may be delegated to him by the Chancellor. (3) The Sponsoring Society shall determine the salary of the Pro-Chancellor. (4) In the absence of the Chancellor, the Pro-Chancellor shall discharge the duties and responsibilities associated with the office of the Chancellor. (5) A Pro Chancellor shall exercise such powers and performs such duties as assigned to him by the Board of Governors and the Chancellor from time to time.
