Empowerment of Slum Rehabilitation Authority for implementation of Slum
The Mumbai Municipal Corporation ActChapter XII BUILDINGS REGULATIONS
Rehabilitation Scheme.— Notwithstanding anything contained in any other provisions of this Act, the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, direct that the powers of the Commissioner under this Chapter and the powers of the Corporation and the Committees of the Corporation under this Act, if any, relating to building regulations and matters ancillary or consequential thereto, shall be exercised by the Slum Rehabilitation authority appointed under the Maharashtra Slum
Areas (Improvement, Clearance and Redevelopment) Act, 1971 (Mah. XXVIII of 1971) for the slum
rehabilitation area declared under that Act.]
