Power of the Authority to execute any improvement scheme
The Bihar Regional Development Authority Act. 1982The Authority may, at any time, after the publication of the final scheme under this Act, proceed to execute such work as provided in the scheme which may include: (i) acquisition of land; (ii) construction of roads; (iii) construction of houses and commercial buildings; (iv) provision of amenities including water supply, drainage, sewerage, electricity and other public utilities. For the purpose of execution of the scheme, the Authority may enter into such contracts as it may deem necessary and may levy such development charges as may be determined by the State Government. The Authority shall have the power to engage such staff and to incur such expenditure as is necessary for the execution of the scheme.
