A.(1) Where an area is specified as Urban Station Committee area under

1. (1) Where an area is specified as Urban Station Committee area under section 5, the Government shall, by notification, establish Urban Station Committee for such area. (2) The Urban Station Committee shall be composed of such members to be appointed or elected as the Government may, by notification, direct. (3) A Committee established under sub section (1) of this section shall be a body corporate by the name of "The Urban Station Committee" and shall have a perpetual succession and a common seal with power, subject to the provisions of this Act, to acquire, hold or dispose of properties and may by the said name sue and be sued. (4) The Government may appoint any person, whether a member of the
