Procedure for inquiries and disputes

All inquiries under this Act shall be conducted by the appropriate authority in accordance with principles of natural justice, ensuring fair hearing to affected parties. On receipt of reference the Court shall cause a notice, to be served on the following persons, specifying the day on which the Court shall proceed to determine the objection and directing their appearance before the Court on the specified day, namely:- (a) the applicant (b) all persons interested except such of them as have consented without protest to receive payment of the compensation ; and (c) the State through Collector, if the objection is in regard to the amount of compensation.
