Restriction on construction

(1) No person shall construct any building or structure within the restricted area of the State Highway without permission. (2) If such construction is deemed hazardous to traffic, it shall be removed. (1) It shall be the duty of the Highway Authority to ensure that no part of the Highway is encroached upon and for this purpose shall conduct regular checks of the boundaries of the Highway in its charge with a view to locating encroachments if any;\n(2) When an encroachment has been made on highway, the Highway Authority shall take immediate steps as specified in section 33 for the removal thereof.
