Rights of raiyats and prohibition of letting –
- (1) The rights of a raiyat in any land held by him as such shall be permanent, heritable and transferable.
- (2) Notwithstanding anything in sub-section
- (I) but subject to the provisions of sub-section
- (3) a transfer after the commencement of this Act by way of a lease of any land held by a raiyat shall be void and inoperative.
- (3) It shall be lawful for a raiyat who is a person under disability or is a privileged raiyat to lease out his lands to any tenant.
