Constitution of Land Commission

Constitution of Land Commission -

1. (1) The Government may, by notification constitute a Land Commission for the purposes of this Act. (2)
   • (a) The Commission shall consist of seven members of whom three shall be officials and four non-officials to be nominated by the Government. They shall unless the Commission is sooner reconstituted hold office for a period of three years from the date of appointment.
   • (b) The Land Reforms Commissioner shall be theex-officio Secretary to the Land Commission.
   • (c) The Government shall nominate one of the members to be the Chairman of the Commission.
2. (3) The Commission shall have power. to co-opt members for special purposes..
3. (4) The proceedings of the Commission shall be conducted in such manner as may be prescribed.
