This Act establishes the Maharashtra Agricultural University (Krishi Vidyapeeth) to teach, research and extend agriculture and allied sciences. It sets out the University's objects, medium of instruction, admissions and powers, and transfers certain Government agricultural colleges and institutions to it. It also covers the classification of its officers and staff and the Government's power of inspection.
