Statutory text

(1) The committee shall prepare a draft Metropolitan Development and Investment Plan for the Region as a whole.
(2) The committee shall also exercise such powers as mentioned under this Act or may be entrusted to it by the Government in respect of the business of the Metropolitan Planning Committee.
(3) The Government may prescribe the manner in which the powers so entrusted to it may be exercised.
(4) While exercising such powers, the committee shall be deemed to be a body subordinate to the Government and shall exercise these powers for and on behalf of the Government.
