Statutory text

(1) The Metropolitan Region Development. Authority may by resolution delegate any power exercisable by it and the Metropolitan Commissioner, under this Act or rules or regulations made thereunder may also be exercised by any authority or officer subordinate to the Metropolitan Region Development authority or Metropolitan Commissioner, as the case may may be, in such cases and subject to such conditions, if any, as may be prescribed.
(2) The Government may, by notification, direct that any power exercisable by the Government or the Metropolitan Region Development Authority or the Metropolitan Commissioner under this Act, except the power to make rules or regulations, may be exercised by any local body or officer of the Government or any other body, in such cases and subject to such conditions, if any, as may be prescribed.
