Power to summon and examine witnesses

Any officer empowered under this Act to conduct any enquiry may exercise all such powers connected with summoning and examining the witnesses and the production of documents as or conferred on a civil court by the Code of Civil Procedure, Samvat 1977, and every such enquiry shall be deemed to be a judicial proceeding.
