Implementation of scheme

(1) The Canal Officer shall, after getting the occupation of the land under sub-section (6) of section 15, take steps to implement the scheme at the cost of the Government. (2) Any water course constructed under sub-section (1) shall be the property of the Government. (3) Unless ordered by the Government to the contrary any extension, alteration or realignment of water courses at the instance of the owners or occupiers shall be done at the cost of the owners, or occupiers.
