Acquisition of land

If the Government is satisfied that any land for the construction of an irrigation work, excluding water course, field channels and field drains or for the maintenance, improvement or extension of an existing irrigation work excluding water courses, field channels and fielddrains, is needed, the Government may acquire the land by following the provisions of the State Land Acquisition Act, Samvat 1990 except to the extent specifically stated to the contrary in this Chapter.
