This Act provides for setting up the Jammu and Kashmir State Electricity Board to generate and supply electricity in the State. It sets out the Board's composition, members' terms, removal and meetings, and its staff. It also creates a State Electricity Consultative Council and Local Advisory Committees to advise the Board.
