Chapter V STATUTES, ORDINANCES AND REGULATIONS

Contracts.

1. (1) All contracts relating to the management and administration of the University shall be in writing and shall be made by the University.
2. (2) Every such contract shall be signed by the Vice-Chancellor or such other officer of the University as may be authorised by the Syndicate in this behalf.
3. (3) No contract involving an expenditure of such amount as may be prescribed by the Statutes shall be made by any officer or authority of the University otherwise than in such manner as may be prescribed.
4. (4) No contract or instrument not executed in the manner provided in this section shall be binding on the University.

Procedure for conducting business of authorities.—

1. (1) The meeting of any authority of the University shall be held in accordance with the Statutes.
2. (2) Every authority of the University shall act in such manner as may be prescribed by the Statutes.

Delegation of powers.—

1. (1) The University may by Statutes provide for the delegation of any of its powers or duties conferred or imposed by or under this Act to any authority, officer or person.
2. (2) Subject to the provisions of this Act, the Statutes may provide for the sub-delegation of such powers or duties by any authority or officer to whom they are delegated.
