The Selection Committee
The Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University Act, 2019(1) The University shall constitute such Selection Committees for the recruitment of the faculty and other officers, as may be prescribed by the Statutes. (2) The constitution of the Selection Committee shall be as prescribed by the Statutes. (3) Every Selection Committee shall consist of the following members, namely: - (a) Chairperson : Vice-Chancellor (or his/her nominee); (b) Member-Secretary (Registrar); (c) The Head of the Department/Centre concerned, if any; (d) Two experts in the relevant field of study to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor; (e) One representative of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), if required; (f) One representative of the Delhi Government; (g) One representative of the University; (h) One representative of the SC/ST/OBC category (or as per government norms); (i) One representative of the Women; (j) Such other experts as may be prescribed; (k) One expert from Industry; (l) One representative of the Academic Community and Industry (as may be nominated); (m) One representative of the Delhi Government (as may be nominated). (4) The Selection Committee shall be responsible for the recruitment and selection of the faculty and other officers in accordance with the provisions of this Act and the Statutes. (1) The Board of Management shall be the principal executive body of the University. All the movable and immovable property of the University shall vest in the Board of Management. (2) The Board of Management shall consist of such number of members as may be prescribed. (3) The Board of Management shall consist of the following members, namely:— (a) Chairperson: the Vice-Chancellor (Ex-officio); (b) Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Ex-officio); (c) three Deans, by rotation based on seniority to be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor for a period of two years; (d) Director, Directorate of Training and Technical Education; (e) All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) nominee; (f) Industry representative from industry sector; (g) Skill Council representative; (h) Representative from department of Finance; (i) Representative from department of Planning; (j) Skill University representative from among Professors and other academic staff by rotation based on seniority; (k) Two Educationists; (l) Representative from among the employees of the University; (m) Representative from among the skill/vocational teachers; (n) Registrar—Member-Secretary (Ex-officio). (4) The term of office of the nominated members of the Board of Management shall be two years from the date of nomination. (1) The Academic Council shall be the principal academic body of the University and shall, subject to the provisions of this Act, the Statues and the Ordinances, have the control and regulation of, and be responsible for, the maintenance of standards of instruction, education and examination within the University and shall exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be conferred or imposed upon it by the Statutes; (2) The Academic Council shall have the right to advise the Board of Management on all academic matters; (3) The constitution of the Academic Council and the term of office of its members shall be as under:- (a) Chairperson: Vice-Chancellor of the University (ex-officio); (1) The Academic Council shall be the principal academic body of the University and shall, subject to the provisions of this Act, the Statues and the Ordinances, have the control and regulation of, and be responsible for, the maintenance of standards of instruction, education and examination within the University and shall exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be conferred or imposed upon it by the Statutes; (2) The Academic Council shall have the right to advise the Board of Management on all academic matters; (3) The constitution of the Academic Council and the term of office of its members shall be as under:-(a) Chairperson: Vice-Chancellor of the University (ex-officio); (b) Pro Vice-Chancellors (ex-officio); (c) Four persons, who are not employees of the University to be co-opted by the Academic Council on the recommendations of the Vice-Chancellor from amongst educationists, scientists or engineers of repute; (d) A nominee of the University Grants Commission; (e) A nominee of the All India Council for Technical Education; (f) A representative of Industries, as nominated by the Vice-Chancellor; (g) All Deans of the University; (h) Four Heads of Departments as nominated by the Vice-Chancellor; (i) Four Professors of the University as nominated by the Vice-Chancellor; (j) One Associate Professor and one Assistant Professor as nominated by the Vice-Chancellor; (k) Controller of Examinations; (l) One person of eminence who is alumni, as nominated by the Vice-Chancellor; (m) Two Student representatives as nominated by the Vice-Chancellor; and (n) Registrar-Member-Secretary (ex-officio). (4) The term of the members of the Academic Council, other than ex-officio members, shall be three years except the student representative, in which case the tenure will be for one year;
