Appointment of Controlling Officers

(1) The State Government may by notification, appoint controlling officers not below the rank of the Secretary to the Government to exercise the general control and superintendence over the competent authorities and the District Collectors in performance of their functions under this Act or rules made thereunder. (2) The powers to be exercised and the functions to be performed by the controlling officers shall be such as may be prescribed.
