Power and function of the Registrar.

1. (1) The Registrar shall be the ex Officio Secretary of all the Councils of the University under the Act.
2. (2) TheRegistrar shall:
   • (i) Comply with all direction and order of the Executive Council, the Vice Chancellor, the Pro Chancellor and the Chancellor;
   • (i) Be the custodian of the records, the common seal and such other property of the University as the Executive Council may commit to his charge;
   • (iii) Issue notice for, and keep minutes of the meetings of the Councils, Board of studies and other authorities of the University;
   • (iv) Conductall official correspondence between the University and other outside the University and between various Councils, Board and authorities within the University.
   • (iv) Turnish notice, minute and other records of the University to the Vice Chancellor, the Pro Chancellor and the Chancellor and the Vice Chancellor;
   • (vi) Call meetings of the Executive Council for taking emergent decisions, if any in the absence of the Chancellor, the Pro Chancellor and the Chancellor and the Vice Chancellor;
   • (vii) Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Chancellor, the Pro Chancellor; the Vice Chancellor and the Executive Council; and
   • (viii) Be directly responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the proper discharge of his duties. Director

23. (@) Thereshall be the following full time Director (s) who shall be appointed by

the Chancellor.

1. (i) aDirector for operations in the State of Nagaland ; and
2. (iii) as many Director (s) as required to be fixed by regulation for looking after the operation outside the State of Nagaland.

1. (2) the Director (s) shall not hold office beyond the age 62 years.
2. (3) their other terms and condition shall the state of be as per regulation.
