Chapter 1V OFFICERS OF UNIVERSITY

Statutory text

(1) There shall bea full time Registrar for the University.
(2) The registrar shall be appointed by the Vice Chancellor in consultation with the Chancellor and the Pro Chancellor from out of three persons empanelled by the Executive Council which shall not indicate any order of preference and leave the selection solely to the independent judgment of the Vice Chancellor.
(3) Incase of emergent circumstances where the appointment of Registrar on the basis of panel prepared by the Executive Council is not possible for any reason, the Vice Chancellor, until an appointment is made in accordance with that procedure, may appoint a suitable person/officer of the University in consultation with the Chancellor and the Pro Chancellor to function as registrar for a period not exceeding one year.
(4) The Registrar shall not hold office beyond the age of 62 years.
(5) Other terms and conditions of service of the Registrar shall be as per regulations.
